Jimmy Rotheram has seen first-hand how using inclusive, child-developmental approaches to music education can transform schools. After introducing up to 6 hours of music a week for every child, Feversham went from Special Measures to one of the top 10% of schools in the country for pupil progress. This led to a feature in the Guardian which attracted over 250,000 global shares.
Anita Holford runs the musiceducationworks website and is also part of the senior management team for a small community music charity The Music Works, which specialises in working with young people in challenging circumstances. Her areas of special interest are inclusion/social justice, looked-after children, music and mental health, and impact evaluation.
