What to include
Here's everything you need to include in order to submit a proposal.
Subtheme - What subject would you like to present?
Title - This should be no more than 20 words.
Abstract - Outline what you would like to discuss. This should be no more than 300 words.
Preferred presentation format - Would you like to run a workshop or give a presentation?
Photograph - Please provide us with a picture to include in our event communications.
Bio - Tell us a little about yourself. This should be no more than 800 words and include your name(s), affiliation(s),country, and email address.
Judit Kormos
Judit Kormos, Professor of Second Language Acquisition at Lancaster University, specializes in cognitive processes in additional language learning. Her work, including the book Teaching Languages to Students with Specific Learning Differences, explores dyslexia's impact. Kormos has contributed to studies on the accessibility of language tests for young learners and played a pivotal role in award-winning EU-sponsored projects. As lead educator for the Dyslexia and Foreign Language Teaching MOOC on FutureLearn, she conducts global workshops on inclusive language teaching.
Richard Chinn
Richard Chinn works on MA and BA programmes at King’s College London, and pre and in service teacher training courses at International House London. His professional interests are in classroom interaction, language teaching methodology, and teacher development. He is co-author of the book Working with Emergent Language published by Pavilion ELT.
Danny Norrington-Davies
Danny Norrington-Davies is a teacher and teacher-trainer working at International House London. His interests in ELT are emergent language, grammar, materials design, and creativity. He enjoys speaking at conferences, and his first book, Teaching grammar: from rules to reasons was published by Pavilion ELT in 2016. He is the co-author of the book Working with Emergent Language, also published by Pavilion ELT.
