The webinar taking place on Tuesday 20 March at 2pm is open to you whether you are wishing to widen the reach of current school partnerships, or taking your first steps to building and establishing relationships with schools.

Why should I attend?
Partnerships – explore the benefits of partnership working for your organisation and the education settings you work with. Consider how issues around cost and workload can be overcome.
Developing audiences of the future – find out how working with your local education settings can help embed your work within the local community and connect with families, helping boost visitors to your organisation.
Targets – help achieve your Arts Council targets by using Arts Award to reach a diverse range of young people. Explore the type of language that schools respond to and ensure your programmes are achieving what educators need them to.

What will I get from it?
Are there particular barriers you face when liaising with schools eg budget, capacity or resources; or simply getting through to the right person? This webinar offers practical examples and advice on addressing these issues, whether establishing or developing partnerships.

Using Arts Award as a framework, you’ll learn the best way to approach schools, the most successful approaches to partnering with them and how to develop relationships with teachers. We will look at resources, delivery models and approaches and support you to examine your current practice with a view to coming up with practical development steps to try out.

Who should attend?
This event is suitable for learning or education officers, participation or project managers, artists and business directors. Attendees should have some knowledge and understanding of Arts Award but do not need to have trained as an adviser  (please note, this webinar does not form part of training to run Arts Award. You must attend advertised or in-house Arts Award training in order to deliver the award in your setting). All five levels of Arts Award will be incorporated.

Advice and guidance will be provided by members of our experienced Arts Award team:

  • Judy McFall, Arts Award Associate, Senior Trainer, Moderator and Support Panel Member
  • Kate Attard, Head of Sector Support, Trinity College London
  • Annabel Thomas, Arts Development Manager, Trinity College London

There will be allocated time for questions and issues raised during the webinar.

Can’t attend at these times? Register as normal and we'll send you a link to the webinar after the event.
